3D rendering The year is 78 A.D., year 832 by the Roman reckoning. After a century of murderers, madmen, and megalomaniacs, a solid old ex-soldier rules Rome. Herculaneum is a much quieter town than Pompeii, shared by wealthy elite and busy tradesmen. Vesuvius hasn't stirred in a generation. The little city by the bay seems like a good place to set down roots....
