Sextus Patulcus Felix has a thriving business in breads and cakes and dog biscuits of all sizes and one shape -- round. Small blindfolded asses do the labour of milling.

Over the four days of Fornacalia, Feast of Ovens (13-17 February 1999), all the rooms of the bakeshop will open, and some of Lucky Sextus' best recipes will be revealed.

From within the city, you will be able to visit the Bakeshop by walking south from the Forum and will find the Bakeshop between the Aula and the Palaestra.
